I think Grails is one of most underestimated overtly low profile post rock bands with most extraordinary releases in the scene…..nevertheless, still that old saying, people will eventually figure out when something is good….little by little, this Portland band play unique powerful psychedelic epic middle-age gothic/post rock music and gradually become as an influential post rock force nowadays….
Deep Politics is their 8th album since 2003 debut. This time, Grails go no new direction, but to create an expansive post rock sound with new mixture of deep cinematic vibe on top of their powerful instrumental jam…...something mystery like we heard in those cult detective/crime friction movie…..it’s the most intelligent, matured, focused, evolving and interesting music Grails has been making so far!! Awesome!!
